A special type trap beat
The trap instrumental "Escobar" starts of fairly regular. However, as soon as you are 8 bars into the beat, you know this is not your usual Travis Scott type trap beat.
First of all, the instrumentation is great. Outstanding actually. A sinister harpsichord sets the tone for the vibe to expect on this track. Accompanied by the fitting deep 808s and hard trap drums it's hard for a experienced ear to deny the quality of this trap track.
Secondly, the arrangement keeps suprising with dynamics through the entire beat.
Elements are stripped and added constantly which creates a beautiful sequence of peaks and dips. Personally, I find dynamics one of the most important ingredients of music production. A beat or instrumental that has none is bound to get boring real quick. Zaytoven anybody? Just kidding!

How is "Escobar" better from other Travis Scott type beats?
In a nutshell, it's more sinister, more aggressive, darker and more banging than other Travis Scott type trap beats. It just has the "it-factor" a lot of other trap beats in this particular style are missing.
In addition it's sound is upgraded and based on Travis Scott's new release Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight. Obviously, this fact should be a convincing argument for artists to at least give this beat a listen.

Travis Scott type trap beat: A Conclusion
If you are serious about your dreams as an artists, rapper or singer, you should get on the best beats you can possibly get your hands on. Good production means good songs. I think this is one of those beats which is why a gave up my personal time to review it. Next time, Ill review a beat from a different producer. We have to keep things fair!
